Lacrimer is a company founded by a group of passionate healthcare professionals who have been preparing Autologous Platelet Rich Plasma for over 20 years in a variety of specialties including Orthopedic surgery, Plastic surgery, Gynecological surgery, Vascular surgery, and Urological surgery.
About 7 years ago, a local Ophthalmologist reached out to us to inquire about preparing serum eye drops for her patients. At that time, Ophthalmology was a new specialty for us. So, we exhaustively researched serum eye drops. What we discovered is the serum eye drops do not contain a concentrated volume of platelets. In fact, the serum drops may only contain very few platelets at best. Platelets are known to release a variety of growth factors that have many healing properties and also signal for stem cells. We have seen the benefits of concentrated platelets in many of our other applications. At this point, although soothing to the eye, serum eye drops has very limited potential for healing ocular surface disorders. So, we challenged ourselves to develop an eye drop that would have significant healing potential. Building on the initial experience of others, we applied our knowledge and experience with PRP and began preparing autologous PRP eye drops. Lacrimer was born. We have been preparing Lacrimer Autologous PRP eye drops for almost 7 years now.
Our goal is to provide the patient with a safe and effective eye drop that has the ability to potentially heal their condition.
Our company maintains the highest standards ensuring a safe product for our patients. All of our staff members are licensed professionals. Unlike some of our competitors, our eye drops are prepared in a sterile environment suitable for medication preservation including the use of a sterile hood.
We are blessed to have been recognized and receive patient referrals from several of the Nations leading Ophthalmologists.
